JX7 Cranks - FAQ
General Questions
Is a two-piece crankset heavier than a conventional one-piece crankset?
You might think so, but we engineered the JX7 Cranks to be as light as leading one-piece cranksets. The JX7 weighs approximately 715 grams, keeping your ride efficient and responsive.
Is a two-piece crankset weaker than a one-piece crankset?
Not at all. Using FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software, we optimized the design to withstand the extreme demands of mountain biking. Our crankset has been tested under forces far greater than what a rider would experience from jumps, pedal strikes, and high-power sprints, and it has proven its durability.
What materials are used in the JX7 Cranks?
The JX7 Cranks are precision-machined from 7075 aluminum, ensuring an optimal balance of strength, weight, and longevity.
What bottom bracket standard does the JX7 Crankset use?
The JX7 Adjustable cranks are designed to work with 24mm bottom brackets and are optimized for boost frames. We are currently developing axle options to accommodate super boost setups and 30mm bottom brackets, which will be available soon.
Where can I buy the JX7 Crankset?
You can purchase the JX7 Crankset directly from our website or through our authorized dealers.
Do the JX7 Cranks come with a warranty?
Yes, all R Theory Cycleworks products, including the JX7 Cranks, are covered by our warranty against manufacturing defects. Visit our warranty page for details.
